Wow, Adelle is almost 8 months old already! Time is just flying by. She is learning speaking skills at a steady rate. She has been saying "Mama" for a while now, as well as "Baba" (which comes out generally as a yell so I don't know what that is referring to). The best part was she finally got "Dada" for the very first time on Valentine's Day!!! Daddy couldn't have asked for a better gift!
She is now starting to move herself from a sitting position into a crawling position and then rocks back and forth.... She is doing this later than other babies but I think it's because she would just rather be standing all the time. She has a couple of toys she can stand at all by herself and play at for great lengths of time. She loves to walk while you hold her hands. She is speedy! It's hard to keep up with her.
She is doing really well at the day home we have her in. She loves to play with the other little girl and boy.
We will be moving at the end of April into a townhouse, probably just in time for when she learns to walk... so the first thing in the house will have to be baby gates and latches on the cupboards! The townhouse has a little backyard and backs onto a huge playground and park so there will be lots of grass around for her to practice those walking skills. We are looking forward to the summer!
